This site features pianist Lee Sloan's recording 'Resurrectin' Fats & Friends' - a tribute to the masters of the fiendishly-difficult style of Stride piano: Fats Waller, Art Tatum, James P. Johnson and Willie “The Lion” Smith. It took Lee over two years of research to assemble the collection of piano sheet music represented on this CD. Many of the compositions it features have never been previously recorded - not even by the composers themselves.
It was a labor of love to track down these rare musical gems, and an even greater labor to perfect the playing of them.
